Wow, these are gorgeous! I don't know how to talk about icons but there's an aesthetic in some of them that seems new, or newish, for you? Something textury, especially maybe in the Gone Girl and POI ones. Anyway these are fantastic. The cropping/composition in the Allison one is really cool.

I flipflop from simple icons to more textured ones. Usually it's because I'm making several in a row, my brain gets bored and starts throwing stuff on there for shits and giggles ;)

Gorgeous icons!!
I particularly love 15-21, they're all so different even though they have the same cap. 16 is my favorite version cause the text placement and the colorful texture work look create such a wonderful composition, but I also really dig the text use in 18. The intense vibrant colors in 8 and 13 are fantastic and I also love the muted looks of 4 and 24 (GORGEOUS crop on this one too! just wow). There's also something super cool about 31, I really like the combination of differently sized and colored elements, and the lighting and colors in 39 are amazing!
